The backhoe is a versatile piece of equipment – equipped with two attachment points that allow for several different configurations. For example, swap the front bucket out for a set of forks and you have the equivalent of a rough terrain forklift. Or, a power jack hammer attached to the back boom enables the operator to break up concrete or large rock.
